This vintage vessel was handcarved from wood by the Samburu people deep in northern Kenya. It was used by the Samburu people for a long time as evidenced by its patina, all over the sides and rim, where it was most often held. Many of these bowls have repoussé repairs, further proof of their age and use. This container measures: 11 x 8 x 6″ (28 x 20 x 15 cm)
