Vintage Hima Milk Vessel Decor Vase | 11.5″

This is an old Hima (or Hema) container vase from Uganda. This beautiful Hima vessel was primarily used for storing liquids, which were most commonly milk. Making an object such as this is extremely time consuming, not only to get the symmetry and shape right, but primarily the length of time it takes to hollow out the center. Since this is an old object the use of power tools was not an option. The container glistens in the light due to natural patina which almost shines the object with a protective layer.
