The tectorum is possibly the fluffiest air plant. Native to the highlands of Peru, this rare species is quite drought resistant. Its many hairs absorb moisture from the environment, which means that you do not have to spray them very often making them ideal for people that are often away from home or simply do not have a green thumb.
Perfect for Christmas!
AIR PLANT CARE
Almost all air plants prefer bright, indirect light. Full sun will cause browning of the leaf tips. Air plants absorb water through the hairs on their leaves (trichromes). This species does not require much maintenance beyond a weekly misting. Always make sure her leaves fully dry within a few hours in order to prevent leaf rot.
MEASUREMENTS:
Sizes may vary slightly, but are approximately: 10 x 6 cm
All our air plants are grown with the greatest care in the Netherlands where they adjust to the local climate. This makes them well-adapted to the indoor environment.
