Duke is made from a wool houndstooth fabric. Houndstooth is a two-toned textile pattern, Scottish by origin and characterized by broken checks. The weave does in fact have something to do with its canine-sounding name— which was inspired by the uneven shape of a hound dog’s teeth.
The wool is woven by Moon, which was founded in 1837 and is one of the last remaining woollen mills in the UK. Duke is a traditional bear with distinctive qualities which are why he is in our luxury collection.
Duke is a smart, collectable teddy bear with a dark green bow yet still retains the cuddle factor provided by the warm wool fabric. Duke loves days out in the countryside but is equally at home in the City.

Duke is a natural-born leader with a commanding presence, an innate power and even a regal air about him. The whole teddy bear family looks to him for leadership and direction. He tries to unite everyone together.
