Memories of a Distant Synth
My favourite microphone in the whole wide world is the Audio Techinca 4050. I love the sound of this on a guitar cab, not that we have many of those these days. Anyway, the polar response is the basis for this design.
I was out in Miami a while ago with a band. Sitting poolside breakfasting, the sun was rising and casting some beautiful colours across the Atlantic at South Beach. It’s reminded me of all those synth and retrowave sounds that are now so common. Must find more to listen too.
