Christmas Tree skirt Arpillera

There are not enough words to make justice to this piece of art: our Christmas Tree skirt created in Arpillera based on our 7R’s of sustainability: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Repurpose, Rethink, Reconnect & Reinvest! This unique, one of a kind artwork is another effort of circular economy: environment, community and economy. You can learn more about it in my blog: Love is in the earth.It has made by a Peruvian woman Alcira, with donated and recycled clothes and fabric scraps from many angels in Peru and USA. The donation was curated to design this Christmas Tree skirt and the rest of clothes are donated to the community in Pamplona Alta, Lima, Peru. It takes around 3 months to handmade this Arpillera artwork, recreating the Nativity scene, the three wise men and animals that went to worship baby Jesus, illuminated by the star of Bethlehem.Interesados en donar ropa en Peru, favor de escribirnos, reciclamos la ropa, se selecciona para Arpillera y el resto se dona a las comunidades.
