The Tillandsia Abdita is one of the most colorful Tillandsia within the epiphyte family. The Tillandsia Abdita has an abundance of soft green leaves. At a later stage these can change to a beautiful red / purple, which makes this Air Plant so special.
The Tillandsia Abdita is also often referred to as Tillandsia Brachycaulos, a fairly common species within the Tillandsia family. Despite the fact that this particular species is much like the Brachycaulos, the true Tillandsia Abdita is extremely rare and one of a kind.
Originally this Air Plant is found in dry forests and deserts in Mexico and Central America, at altitudes of 600-1200 meters.
