How to make: Empty the packet into a large pan, add 1500ml of cold water and a 400ml can of coconut milk. Bring to the boil, then reduce heat and simmer / stir until lentils have softened (around 45 minutes). Top up water to original level if required. Season to taste. Serves 4+
