This is a beautiful very well used and patinated vintage authentic version of a common percussion musical instrument in Mali. Smaller, simpler versions are used by children and especially popular among members of circumcision classes in northern Mali (please see attached video). This one is a more “professional” version that would have been played in a village on occasions of celebration. This instrument measures: 16 1/2″ tall (42 cm) We used a display stand for photography purposes but this is NOT included in the purchase of this product.
