Who is RBG (Ruth Bader Ginsburg)?
Ruth Joan Bader Ginsburg (born March 15, 1933 – September 2020) was an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. Ginsburg was appointed by President Bill Clinton and took the oath of office on August 10, 1993. She is the second female justice (after Sandra Day O’Connor) and the first Jewish female justice.
She argued cases before the Supreme Court and won five. She co-founded the first law journal on women’s rights. She battled and overcame sexism personally. She’s one of the only four female justices in history. She gained notice for her impassioned dissents. She’s the only Supreme Court Justice to become a pop culture icon.
