Can I send magnets in the post?
At least within the UK, you can absolutely send magnets in the post. However, only magnets with a field strength of less than 0.418A/metre at a distance of 4.6 metres from the outside of the package. For these, Royal Mail recommends that you use strong outer packaging, like corrugated cardboard or polystyrene, and package individual magnets in softer packaging with a thickness of at least 2cm. Not only will this keep your magnets safe, but it will also prevent any complications for your parcels while in transit. Ideally, volume per item will not exceed 30ml.
